The Inner West Magpies Junior AFL Club was a small flock. They loved to fly and kick the footy, but there were only a few of them.

Little Pip, a tiny magpie, wished for more friends to play with.

One day, Coach Maggie gathered the flock. “We have a big dream,” she chirped.

“We will build a pathway so every little magpie can find their way to our club!”

Pip and his mum, Mumma Magpie, were the first to help. They made posters and talked to all their friends.

“Come and play with us!” they chirped.

A few days later, a shy magpie named Skye watched from a branch.

She had never played footy before. She wasn’t sure if a girl could play.

Pip saw her and flew up to the branch. “Footy is for everyone!” he chirped.

“Coach Maggie says we’re building a special team just for girls. We need you!”

Soon, more and more magpies came to the field.

Not just new players, but their parents and families too! The field was no longer empty.

Coach Maggie taught them all. She showed them how to kick, how to mark the ball, and how to work as a team.

Every magpie learned and grew stronger.

The whole community got involved! Parents helped set up the field, friends brought yummy snacks, and everyone cheered.

The Magpies had become a hub for everyone.

The Magpies didn't always win, but that wasn't the most important part. They had built something special.

A place where every magpie, no matter how big or small, belonged.

It was a big, happy family, soaring together towards a bright future, one kick at a time.
